Terms of sale
Draft dated 25 October 2026 — before sales open, complete the appointed consumer mediator, customer service telephone, registration particulars, share capital and VAT status. Delivery commitments must be displayed before payment. These are draft terms.
Places & Memories is operated by STUDIO NS, a French SAS, SIREN 101 281 913, SIRET 101 281 913 00018, registered office: 18 avenue de Paris, 94300 Vincennes, France. Contact: placesandmemories1@gmail.com. These terms cover online sales of personalised decorative plaques to consumers.
1. Product and availability
Each plaque is a decorative 3D-printed relief of a place, personalised with the chosen text and date. Product specifications and the pre-payment summary define its dimensions, material, finish and content. Production requires suitable geographical data and technical validation. A saved draft or simulation is not an order. If a paid design cannot be made, we offer an alternative you may decline or refund the affected order.
2. Personalisation approval
Before paying, check the place, crop, pin, spelling, text, date, specifications, total and delivery address. The approved personalised production preview is the manufacturing reference; collection samples and styled photographs are not your production preview. You can correct details before approval. If we faithfully reproduce an error you entered and approved, that error is not a manufacturing defect. Errors attributable to us remain our responsibility. Approval never removes statutory guarantees.
3. Maps, finish and care
Maps are artistic interpretations, not surveys or navigation tools. Some details may be simplified for printing; agreed essential features remain binding. Fine layer lines and minor texture variations can occur, and screens and lighting affect colour perception. This does not excuse damage, material differences or failure to match the approved design. Indoor decorative object, not a toy or food-contact item. Keep away from young children, heat, flame and direct sunlight; handle relief details carefully.
4. Price and delivery
Prices are in euros and include applicable taxes. Delivery charges and the final total are shown after country selection and before payment. Provisional launch prices are not firm quotes; the confirmed checkout total governs your order. Supported countries and a delivery date or period, including production and transit, must be stated before purchase. Any applicable import charges for separately arranged destinations must be clearly explained beforehand.
5. Order and payment
Review and correct the summary, approve the exact preview, accept the applicable terms and select a button expressly stating the obligation to pay. Stripe processes payment on its secure checkout. We send a durable email confirmation with the order summary and accepted terms. A success page alone is not proof of payment; Stripe confirmation is used, subject to contrary evidence. Test payments never start production. Contact us before paying again if a charge is unclear.
6. Changes and cancellation
Contact us immediately with your reference. Before manufacturing begins, we will assess feasible changes and confirm any agreed change and cost in writing; additional charges require your prior agreement. After production begins, changes or cancellation for convenience cannot be guaranteed. Your legal remedies for delay, defects or non-performance are unaffected.
7. Personalised goods and withdrawal
Under Article L. 221-28(3) of the French Consumer Code, the fourteen-day change-of-mind withdrawal right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, including a plaque bearing your words and date. This is disclosed before payment and does not affect statutory guarantees or remedies for defects or non-performance. Any future non-personalised goods will have separate withdrawal information and the statutory form.
8. Delivery problems and delays
We remain responsible for delivery until you or your nominated recipient physically receive the goods, subject to statutory exceptions for independently chosen carriers. Tell us promptly about damage, missing parcels or errors, preferably with photos and your reference. Failure to notify within 48 hours or reserve rights with the carrier does not remove statutory rights. We handle carrier claims. For delays you may require delivery within a reasonable additional period and then terminate as provided by Articles L. 216-1 onwards; statutory cases allow immediate termination. Refunds following termination are made within the statutory fourteen days.
9. Statutory guarantees
STUDIO NS handles the legal conformity guarantee and latent-defect guarantee. Email your reference and problem to placesandmemories1@gmail.com. Remedies carry no costs that legally fall on us. Contact us to arrange suitable returns, without prejudice to your remedies. Disclosed ordinary variations are not a blanket exclusion of guarantees. Damage caused by misuse after delivery may fall outside these guarantees, without excluding our legal liability. For new goods, conformity defects appearing within two years of delivery are presumed to have existed at delivery, subject to applicable law. Repair or replacement must be free, within thirty days and without major inconvenience; statutory conditions allow price reduction or termination. Latent defects can be claimed within two years of discovery under Articles 1641–1649 of the Civil Code.
10. Liability
We fulfil our obligations under applicable law. These terms do not exclude or cap mandatory guarantees, personal injury, fraud, gross negligence or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Force majeure is assessed under Article 1218 of the Civil Code, with notice and statutory remedies; production or shipping difficulties are not automatically force majeure.
11. Intellectual property and personal data
Original creations and site content are protected to the extent of their owners’ rights. Third-party mapping rights remain with their owners and credits are available on the site. You retain rights to your text and authorise only the use necessary to prepare, produce and deliver your order. These terms do not authorise public marketing use of your personal details. Order data are processed for the contract and legal obligations; see Privacy.
12. Complaints, mediation and law
First send a written complaint to STUDIO NS. Consumers may use our appointed mediator free of charge after an unresolved prior complaint and subject to legal eligibility. The mediator’s name, postal address and website must be completed before sales open; no mediator is appointed by this draft. French law applies without removing applicable mandatory protections of your country of residence. Statutory jurisdiction rules apply; no exclusive court is imposed on consumers.
13. Version and evidence
The version presented and accepted when ordering governs that order. Later changes are not retroactive. Reliably retained electronic records and approvals may be evidence, subject to your right to provide contrary evidence. You may print or save this page.
